Hello and welcome to Chandani,

My name is Kim and I live with my 10yr old Son, Tristan, whom I adore with all of my heart. We live in South Australia and share our home with a crazy tortoiseshell called Toni, you can read more about her at my Sons homepage twisty's corner.
My favourite pastime is making websites.  I have done a few for friends and helped design and contribute to others.  more info

twisty_about.jpg (7551 bytes)My Son is a typical young boy, doesn't like girls {except his mum} plays with bugs, attends scouts and cant make up his mind if he wants to play soccer, football or cricket!
I have loved animals all my life and my Son also shares that same love.  I've had numerous pets while growing up, ranging from lizards, tropical fish, kangaroo's, arabian's, bird's and german shepherds, which was the preferred dog of our family for many years.

Just before my Son was born I lost my old shepherd Bella, at only 9yrs of age, owing to bad hips and ailing health.  I decided not to get another dog until such times my Son was old enough to understand and respect caring for animals.

When that time came I was a bit reluctant to look for another shepherd, knowing that there were so many unethical breeders and unhealthy dogs around.  I searched through many books & internet sites looking for a dog that would be of a friendly nature, great with children and large enough to have protective quality's.   I found just what I was looking for in the leonberger.dan_about_us.jpg (6880 bytes)

I contacted the S.A Canine Association.
understanding that this was a rare breed and unsure if there were any in Australia. They gave me a contact number for Wayne and Kaye Frick at Muirnleigh here in Adelaide. "at that time the only owners of a leo in South Australia" I met Kaye at a local show and was introduced to "Sakima."

You can read more about my two leo's on their respective pages.
